CWA District 9 AT&T West Bargaining Bulletin #28
Monday April 09, 2012

The Union met with the Company today in subcommittee meetings and in formal session.
The Company provided the Union with answers to some of the Health Care questions we had asked of them.
However the Company is unable to explain their own need for cost shifting in Health care and will not move off of their proposal to increase costs.
The Union has made fair proposals to the Company showing a willingness to bargain in good faith regarding Health Care costs as well as our other bargaining items.
We are very far apart on all of the major issues that affect our members.
Employment Security, National Transfer Plan, Wages, Pensions, Forced Overtime, Refusal to Bargain over current Retirees, Elimination of paid sick time and other issues that the Company wants to reduce or eliminate.
